Planned Support

Nobody plans to have to have faults in any equipment, however failing to do preventative maintenance just makes these more likely.  This is where the WITSS support contracts come in.  WITSS will regularly review your infrastructure using both automated reporting and manual checking to ensure everything is working as it should.  To fix any minor problems before they become major and may effect the operation of your business.  Further more as support contract customer you can access our consultancy services any time, for impartial help and advice

Examples of things we will check-

  • Backups of data are occurring successfully and that this data can be restored
  • Application and Operating System security patches are being applied to all computers and servers
  • Anti-Virus updates are being applied to all systems
  • Systems have sufficient disk space, memory and processor power to operate correctly
  • UPS system is working correctly
  • Firewall and network switch are operating correctly

However despite our best efforts problems may still occur, those customers with a support contract have priority in resolving issues, and have a hot line for direct help and trouble shooting.

Optional services that can be added to contracts are-

  • Hosted E-mail Anti-Virus & Anti-Spam - we clean the e-mail even before it gets to you or your server
  • Off-site backup - have your critical files replicated to a secure vault away from your office / home
  • Application Support - access for your staff on how to do tasks in applications like Office
  • Full Disaster Recovery - an annually tested plan to recover all your critical IT systems

The support contract will make use of remote support tools, and so to help prove the value to you, we will issue you a monthly report on the checks made and all issues worked on for you.  This helps you to see the value of the service and for us both to identify any recurring issues that need dealt with.

A support contract is charged at a fixed price per month, depending upon the services taken and the complexity and size of your environment.
